Shares of BigBear.ai (BBAI) surged 16% on Tuesday following the announcement of its partnership with SMX to deploy advanced AI technologies for the U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command at the UNITAS 2025 maritime exercise. The collaboration aims to enhance coordination, decision-making, and threat detection during operations involving 8,000 personnel from 26 nations.

BigBear.ai will integrate its Arcas system, providing computer vision and real-time risk forecasting, alongside its ConductorOS AI orchestration platform. CEO Kevin McAleenan emphasized the company's commitment to delivering mission-ready AI for U.S. and allied forces.
